Flextronics plans to build an electronics assembly plant in the Russian city of St. Petersburg. Investments in the project are expected to amount to $50 million - $60 million and could be doubled if the project's initial phase is successful. An agreement between the company and the city government will be signed on February 26. The plant, which is expected to be located in the city's southern part, will produce and assemble electronic components for Intel.
