Rick McWhorter - Managing Director

 

Rick has over 25 years experience in the Medical Device Industry most recently as Vice President of Operations for Boston Scientific Corporation. In addition to direct responsibility for multiple Boston Scientific manufacturing operations, Rick was in charge of starting up a new plant in Costa Rica. In two years the plant went from a Greenfield initiative to over 1300 employees, and the construction of a second 300,000 square foot facility was initiated.

 

Prior to Boston Scientific Rick was Senior Vice President of Operations and Corporate Officer for MedSource Technologies from 2001 through 2003. MedSource was a start up contract manufacturing company, and Rick was part of the senior management team growing the company from zero to over $200 Million in sales and executing a successful IPO.

 

Most of Rick’s career was at Baxter Healthcare where he served for 23 years in manufacturing, finance, information technology and supply chain management. His last role was as Vice President of Global Manufacturing, where he was directly responsible for up to 14 plants with locations in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Singapore, Canada and Europe.

 

Rick has a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Delta State University.
