James R. Emshoff
James R. Emshoff is Founder, Chairman, and CEO of IndeCap Enterprises Inc., a firm launched in 1992 to provide consulting services on corporate restructuring issues and venture participation in the outsourcing of management service functions. Through his IndeCap role, Mr. Emshoff served for 15 months as acting President and CEO to facilitate the strategic restructure of MedQuist Inc., a $300 million Nasdaq company providing information products and services for the healthcare industry. Mr. Emshoff has written four books on various aspects of mangement. The most recent, The New Rules of the Game, was published in 1991 by Harper Business. It deals with the career path issues middle managers will face because of corporate changes during the 1990s, drawing heavily on Mr. Emshoff's experiences with restructuring of the organizations he has headed. Prior to starting IndeCap Enterprises, Mr. Emshoff held senior executive positions at companies in diverse businesses. He has been Chairman and CEO of Wellesley Medical Management Inc., a privately held corporation operating the largest network of Walk-in primary care physician offices; President and CEO of Citicorp Diners Club Inc.; and Group Executive at Campbell Soup Co., with responsibility for the U.S. Soup Division. Mr. Emshoff received a BS degree from Case Western Reserve Univesrsity and an MS and Ph.D. from the Wharton School.
