Amgen Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter of 2008. For the quarter, the company reported net income dropped nearly 8%, to $941 million, or 87 cents a share, as sales of anemia medicines Aranesp and Epogen fell. Total revenue rose just under 1%, to $3.76 billion from $3.73 billion.
