Takeda Research Investment, Inc. is a venture capital investment arm of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited specializing in start up, seed, and Series ‘A’ investments. It may also consider later rounds of investment (second, third, or mezzanine). The firm prefers to invest in drugs and biotherapeutics with a focus on cardiovascular, central nervous system, metabolic, and oncology therapeutic domains. It does not invest in gene therapy or anti-infective products, medical devices, or diagnostics devices. The firm prefers to co-invest as a minority stake holder.
