Carter H. Eckert



Carter H. Eckert has over 25 years in the healthcare and pharmaceuticals industry. He was President and CEO of BASF Pharma, a $2.5 billion pharmaceutical company, which was sold in March 2001 to Abbott Labratories, Inc. Mr. Eckert also served as President & CEO of Knoll Pharmaceutical Company, the U.S. subsidiary of BMF Pharma and was additionally responsible for global therapeutic franchise marketing. During 1986-1995, Mr. Eckert was with Boots Pharmaceuticals, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Boots PLC, as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer until being promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer. From 1974-1988, Mr. Eckert was with Baxter Travenol Laboratories, Inc. where he held several positions including Prescription Pharmaceutical Division President. Mr. Eckert holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from Northwestern University.
