Galapagos Genomics NV reported earnings results for the year 2007. The company reported net loss for full-year 2007 was €21.9 million ($33.6 million), or €1.06 per share, versus €11.3 million, or €0.84 per share the year before, due to a steep rise in R&D costs, from €15.9 million to €30.6 million. Galapagos' full-year 2007 revenues grew 87% to €65.9 million, with a €48.4 million contribution from BioFocus DPI, including €5.4 million from inter-company revenues that were eliminated in the consolidation. The firm's Drug Discovery division earned €22.9 million as part of group external revenues.
