Sherbrooke Capital is a venture capital firm specializing in financing growth and expansion capital to emerging companies in health and wellness industry. The firm seeks to invest in private companies that have already developed products and services and are seeking capital to initiate product roll-out or expand distribution and market presence. It prefers to invest in pharmaceuticals; food and beverages; and healthcare devices, products, and services with a focus on functional foods and beverages; nutritional ingredients businesses; bioactives and therapeutic compounds; prevention and self-care diagnostics and tools; healthcare related consumer products and services; minimally and non-invasive medical devices; and medical informatics. The firm typically makes equity investments between $1 million and $4 million at a time and can make up to $7 million in a company over several financing rounds. It does not necessarily require a control or significant equity position. The firm usually takes minority stake and prefers a board seat in its portfolio companies. It seeks to be the first venture investor and prefers to syndicate its investments.
