Angeion Corp. announced the addition of Paula Skjefte to its Board of Directors effective immediately. After 16 years with Medtronic Inc., Skjefte formed Waterford Consulting, a medical device consulting company focused on new product innovation. Zynchros Inc. announced that Jim Tinney has assumed the position of Chief Technology Officer of the company. Tinney comes to the company from Bellevue, where he held a similar role.
 

Walgreen Co.

Walgreen Co. announced that its senior vice president and chief strategy officer John W. Gleeson, 61, is retiring on Feb. 29 after more than 45 years with the company. He started in the stores as a stock clerk in 1962 and came to the corporate office as an analyst in the results department after graduating from the University of Illinois in 1969. He later served as divisional vice president of marketing systems and services and vice president of corporate strategy and treasurer.

Omnicare Inc

Omnicare Inc. announced the appointment of Jeffrey W. Ubben, chief executive officer, chief investment officer and a founder of ValueAct Capital, to its Board of Directors. In addition to Mr. Ubben's appointment, Omnicare plans to add two additional independent directors prior to its 2008 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
