Conceptus Inc. announced that Todd Sloan joined the company as Vice President of Strategic and Professional Marketing, reporting to Mark Sieczkarek, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sloan is responsible for the company's strategy process, coordinating and implementing the business development plan and professional marketing of the Essure system for permanent birth control. Mr. Sloan was most recently with Boston Scientific where he was Director of Marketing for the Urology/Gynecology Division from July 2002 until February 2008. In that role, Mr. Sloan was responsible for marketing leadership following Boston's acquisition of BEI Medical, the developer of the HTA System for Global Endometrial Ablation.
